Remote monitoring power supply DC1500

The 48 V 1,500 W power supply is intended for power supply in the field of telecommunications. It allows the connection of external lead backup batteries, their charging and automatic disconnection in case of discharge (uninterruptible power supply function – UPS). It also allows switching of individual outputs, voltage measurement, current and temperature measurement. The status of the source can be checked using a web browser from the internal web pages of the source and from the master system using SNMP. It is possible to control the source in the same way. The source contains an internal real-time clock synchronized using the NTP protocol and allows you to store the history of operating states using the SYSLOG protocol.

Advantages of using the DC1500 remote monitoring power supply

  • 48 V, 1,500 W power supply with mains monitoring
  • Remotely traceable 48 V power supply with the possibility of connecting backup batteries and charging them
  • Remote monitoring and control enabling simple control of the source and its integration into central surveillance systems
  • Easy installation and maintenance
  • Communication and control using standard protocols (HTML, SNMP, NTP, SYSLOG)

Basic technical description

The power supply is built into a cabinet designed for mounting in a 19 “rack, 3U high and 40 cm deep (without connectors), the weight of the power supply is 14 kg.

Mains connection

The power supply is intended for connection to the mains with a nominal voltage of 230 V, 50 Hz. The input voltage is protected by a circuit breaker with a rated current of 10 A and a C characteristic. The used internal power supply modules are able to operate in the range of 100–264 V AC without the need for switching. If the voltage drops sharply, the consumption from the mains will increase and the 230 V circuit breaker may fail. The voltage of 230 V is measured in the source and the measured value is available both on the source’s control web pages and in the information for the monitoring system. input voltage 230 V outside the set range, the source will report this. The power supply does not have a mains switch, it is designed for permanent use.

Output circuits

Three 48 V output circuits with a rated current of 10 A, an external battery circuit and a 230 V supply voltage are protected by standard circuit breakers available on the front panel of the power supply. For 48V outputs and an external battery, both poles (plus and minus) are disconnected by the circuit breaker. For all circuit breakers, their status is sensed via an auxiliary indication contact.

Front panel

There are two Ethernet connectors ETH 1 and ETH 2 on the front panel (one for connection to the remote monitoring system, the other for connecting a service technician), an indicator LED showing the current power supply status, an LCD display showing details and two buttons for local battery disconnector control. There are also circuit breakers for individual outputs, battery and 230 V input on the front panel.

Back panel

On the rear panel there are connectors for connecting outputs and battery and EURO plug for connecting 230 V power supply.
