A different intervention scenario was prepared for each competition team at the championship. The scenarios simulated the traffic accidents that firefighters go to every day. The most modern models of Škoda and Seat cars were used to simulate the accident. These were test cars that would have to be scrapped after the tests and therefore served good things. Competing teams watched the judges from  ranks of the fire and rescue service of the Czech Republic. The judges evaluated the intervention and rescue of the injured person from  in terms of tactics, intervention techniques and first aid. An important parameter of the intervention is time. If the person is rescued and handed over to the rescue service within 16 minutes, the team is not penalized. The maximum time for rescuing a person is set at 20 minutes.

The winner of the championship was the HZS team of the Hradec Králové region , which coped best with all the pitfalls and intrigues of the simulated traffic accident.

Rescue and technical assistance in traffic accidents is an increasingly important part of firefighters’ tasks. The number of registered vehicles is constantly increasing  this also increases the traffic density and, unfortunately, the number of traffic accidents. At the same time, car safety is improving. Vehicle manufacturers increase the protection of the crew from injury or death, and the durability of cars and equipment with modern safety features is improved. However, paradoxically, improving the safety and durability of modern cars also means more demanding firefighting interventions in traffic accidents.
