Due to the built-in GSM-R infrastructure, communication devices are required for special traction vehicles, which must meet the requirements for minimum dimensions and simple operation. Portable device for voice communication in GSM-R networks type SVR-810R consists of GSM-R terminal SED OPH-810R , docking
stations and external antennas. The basic controls, enabling circuits, are located in the docking station
loud communication and through a headset (headphones), individual communication. Docking
The station contains power supply circuits and high-frequency amplifier circuits, which on the receiver side GSM-R
terminal improve its sensitivity and resistance to signals from other GSM-R terminals and on the transmitter side
they increase the power to 8 W. In connection with an external antenna, they significantly improve the communication range in the GSM-R network. The GSM-R terminal itself (mobile phone – pictured left) is removable and allows normal operation even without a docking station. It can be easily removed from the vehicle when working outside the vehicle cabin or when temporarily terminating work in the vehicle. The terminal itself can be used in multiple docking stations. When changing the vehicle or function, the terminal must be reset correctly (change of function number -).
Key benefits of using the GSM-R device SVR-810R
- It enables voice communication between the vehicle operator and the dispatcher or dispatcher
- Small dimensions designed for special traction vehicles – working machines
- The docking station is portable between sites
- The terminal is removable for use as a mobile device outside the vehicle
General description of the SVR-810R terminal
GSM-R terminal OPH-810R – terminal (mobile phone) operating in the GSM-R network, meeting the basic requirements of EIRENE and providing all functions for GSM-R voice communication. Docking station – provides speakerphone and speakerphone functions for communication in noisy environments, telephone power and charging, additional controls for speed dialing and emergency calling functions and two-way amplification of the GSM-R high-frequency signal, to increase the range of the terminal. The cradle for the terminal allows easy insertion and removal of the GSM-R mobile phone from the docking station, according to the needs of the vehicle operator.
The connection of power and control signals between the terminal and the docking station is solved using a connector.
If the terminal is removed from the cradle, the high-frequency components of the docking station are switched off.
External GSM-R antenna – the vehicle antenna is connected by a coaxial cable to the docking station, it ensures quality reception and transmission on the frequencies of the GSM-R network. It also includes surge protection. Mechanical design – the docking station is designed as a portable, built into a metal case. Before starting the operation, it is attached by hand with two screws with a PE head in a simple holder. The bracket that allows the station to be tilted can be mounted on the ceiling or on the dashboard. The power and antenna connectors are connected at the same time.
Controls
The controls consist of 4 speed dial buttons and an indicator LED. The red button is intended for activating the emergency call, the button for calling the dispatcher, the button for calling the dispatcher and the button for calling the electric dispatcher. The green LED flashes slowly to indicate that the terminal is not in the cradle and also indicates that the docking station is ready. If the terminal is in the cradle, the LED is constantly lit. For example, if a communication error or an RF amplifier error occurs with the inserted terminal,
the indicator LED flashes quickly. The speaker set includes two volume control buttons and a PTT keying key.
